Do you supply everything you need?

We come to every event big or small with all the materials and equipment we need to operate - this even includes table a chairs.
The only thing you need to supply is a sheltered area with adequate lighting and enough space for us to work comfortably. For large events we ask that you avoid locating us near doorways, thoroughfares, bathrooms, smoking areas, loud speakers, DJ’s, food and beverage tables, and on uneven or loose ground

What if there are more kids than we booked for on the day?

If it is only 1-2 extra children we will try to fit them into the scheduled time however if more time is required you will be given the option to extend the booking. Bookings can be extended in half hourly increments

What if there are fewer kids than we booked for on the day?

It is advisable that you re-confirm your guest numbers the day before your event. If there is a notable change in the numbers please contact us within 24 hours of you booking so we are able to prepare any re-scheduling that may be required. If unforeseen circumstances arise in which numbers are much less than anticipated on the day of your event it is up to the Artist(s) attending as to whether they are prepared to finish 30 minutes earlier than scheduled (this is not guaranteed and will depend on individual event circumstances). Minimum booking length is 1 hour

Can we ask you to stay longer on the day?

There is no problem in extending your booking on the day if the Artist is available to do so. This can be negotiated on-site with the Artist. The extra fees incurred will be payable on the day. If you have requested an invoice it will be amended and re-sent to you for payment within 14 days of services rendered

No sorry, we are not entertainers. We are professional makup artists - we wear a set uniform comprised of a branded black t-shirt and cap worn with denim or black bottoms and covered shoe

We certainly do! We are covered for up to $20million in Public Liability Cover. Our policy covers us working anywhere from a backyard party, a gathering in the local park to a corporation function. A certificate of currency can be provided upon request.

Children and their actions remain the responsibility of parents/guardian's or event organiser at all times - children must be under constant adult supervision at all times

Without prejudice we reserve the right not to paint any persons we feel should not be painted

Do your Artists have a Working with Children Check?

All of our Artists have received a positive notice and carry current Blue Cards. The Working with Children Check, also known as the Blue Card, is a detailed national criminal history check including:

  • any charge or conviction for an offence, whether or not a conviction is recorded
  • whether a person is a respondent to or subject to an application for a child protection prohibition order or disqualification order, or
  • whether a person is subject to reporting obligations under the Child Protection (Offender Reporting) Act 2004.

When do you arrive and setup?

Usually the Artist will arrive 15-20 minutes before the start of your booking to setup, ready to go on time

What  time during my event should I book you to arrive?

Kids Parties: It’s great to have us arrive as soon as the party kicks off so the guest of honor can be done first. This will allow them to greet guests without distraction and as guests arrive they can have their turn so there is not a long wait. We will usually be finished in time for the guests to enjoy party games and cake and have the rest of the party to play in character

Big Events: We find it is a good idea to book us for the middle of the event (or the middle of the day) as this is usually when the largest number of people gather. However it is a problem sometimes if we are booked to finish well before the events official completion as many guests may still be interested in our services and cause disappointment and end a fun days work on a sour note. It’s not always the case and not always avoidable but it is something you may want to consider. If you clearly annonuce with a sign our operating hours there will be no surprises!

Is the face paint non toxic?

Yes, we use a water based, highest quality - professional stage makeup that is skin safe, does not irritate the skin and is easy to remove. The make-up contains non-toxic & hypo-allergenic properties and are FDA (USA) approved

If you believe the person to be painted has sensitive skin, a skin patch test can be carried out. It is the guardian’s responsibility to inform the face painter in advance if this is the case. Wowee Creations can not be held liable for any allergic reaction to the paint.

We will not paint anyone who is obviously unwell (runny nose/temperature/rash) or any other visible skin complaint (eczema; chicken pox; acne; cold sore; open wounds; eye infections etc)

How do I remove the face paint?

From skin: Warm soapy water, baby wipes, moisturiser or makeup remover. Some brightly pigmented colours may slightly stain the skin but this is temporary and will fade

From clothing: The paint we use is water based and should not stain clothing however it's a good idea to deal with marked clothing by soaking in cold water overnight and employing regular stain removal techniques before washing. Wowee Creations accepts no liability for stained clothing, carpets or soft furnashings.

How long will a face paint last?

Until you wash it off, it’s water based

Will the paint effect sensitive skin?

It should not and so far we have never had any problems arise. We use a water based, highest quality - professional stage makeup that is skin safe. If you have any concerns we are happy to do a patch test. We can paint a small area of skin on the body and wait 20+mins to detect if irritation occurs

Are your Temporary Tattoos Henna?

No, our Airbrush Tattoos are created with a skin safe alcohol based ink containing F.D.A approved Ingredients. Our Glitter Tattoos use a skin safe professional adhesive. Both methods last up to a week on the skin but can be removed sooner

How do I remove a Temporary Tattoo before a week?

Easily, exfoliate the tattood area or rub with household items like baby oil, rubbing alcohol, alcohol based hand sanitiser or even sunscreen. Don’t scrub too hard! These tattoos can be stubborn but with a little effort they will come off

Power requirements?

Our only service that requires access to power is the Temporary Airbrush Tattoos. We use a small air compressor to run the airbrush. We will supply extensions leads and power boards as required - all our electrical equipment is tested and tagged accordingly. The compressor uses 15 AMPS – Single Phase power supply. A regular household power outlet is sufficient
